Graphic Designer
Karen's design career began in 1997 as an event planner and publications manager for a well known attorney and legal expert in Berkeley, California. As a part of her position she was responsible for designing various promotional materials. She continued to successfully promote legal educational events while designing event print pieces until 2001 when she moved with her husband and son to Seattle, Washington. She then joined Seattle Operating Support, an event planning and association management firm where she became the in-house graphic designer. In 2004 Karen founded RedFyve Graphic Design. Karen has a strong background in the arts and spent many of her younger years painting, drawing, and sculpting. She is passionate about design and finds a deep level of satisfaction in her work.
Web Developer
With a background in fine dining restaurant management Ben has worked as a Chef and Executive-Chef for various Bay Area restaurants including San Francisco's reknowned Millennium Restaurant; as well as Berkeley's Lalime's & Jimmy Bean's. Ben joined Karen in 2006 at RedFyve Graphic Design as partner and web developer. With an extensive background in business management, as well as a passion for computer technology, gained through many years as a deejay and computer musician, Ben has successfully transferred his technical skills to web development. Like Karen, Ben is focused on promoting quality and efficiency which is motivated by a strong commitment to fostering artistry and creativity.
